2022 Lea Extreme Race Entries
Very Early Bird Entries and clothing orders close Saturday 13 August. Entries $60 and includes 2 tickets in random draw, BBQ and party. We have some great sponsors and there will be prizes galore with a separate draw for those who make the very early entry. Later entries are $65 (28 Aug) and $80 (16 Sept). The Lea Extreme race is a 2 person team race down the Lea River from First Drop to Ankle Breaker. At low and medium levels it is a fun grade 4 river with a few tests and 4m drops. Higher levels it gets faster and harder. If the river is too high for the majority of paddlers we will be shifting to Pencil Pine at Cradle Mountain (decision on the Day). If we cancel we will refund entry fees less a small processing cost. After the race, there is a social lap with the opportunity to style some moves and win individual prizes.
If you don’t have a team mate, just enter now and you can add someone later or we can allocate a partner.
Rapids in order: First Drop, Zig Zag, Screaming Plastic Surgeons, Sticks and Stones, Superman, Jimmy’s Line, Face Breaker, Cheese Grater, Elbow Breaker, Cankle, The Slide, Ankle Breaker (as usual the names are worse than reality).
After the race we BBQ at 5:30 at Tasmanian Canoe Club at Forth, followed by music, presentations and party (BYO drinks), with camping at Forth.
